Still Learning
The whole learning curve thing on this new camera is really challenging. Just about everything I ever learned to do with my old Sony point and shoot has to be erased and relearned with my Sony DSLR. I took this picture this afternoon while trying to figure out how to take macro shots. I am thinking I need to go buy the lens I wanted the other day but I did end up with a few really great shots.

I am still trying to figure out my Nikon.
I use an old 35mm Pentax... recently got a digital powershot for trips etc... and i'm liking it and the features, but miss my mm. I have an entire portfolio of photos i'd like to do what you're doing, selling or at least putting them out there as my interpritation of beauty. You and i see a lot alike it seems from the pictures, i love them btw. how did you go about your copy right? Do you have any tips or suggestions for me? and btw- i love the tulip shot!
I love the learning curve on just about anything(except when I need to "fix" my printer, for oh, 245 hours). I sometimes have preconceived notions of what I CAN'T do, and I love working hard enough at something to be wrong.

GREAT PIC! Lots of Kti lenses are decent with MAcro shots, but typically you need to buy a macro lens
Awesome! It's not all what the camera can do.. it's what you do with the camera.. and you do awesome things!
I too am doing the same thing! Trial and error is my way. I love this flower shot, keep going! Love the colors. Have you tried the Picasa yet?
And also I read the entry on your Grandmother, and Im so glad you got that time with her and gave her the stretchy gloves :) Those moments matter. Everything we do here on Earth either makes it better or makes it worse--and you made it better by spending time with her that way. My condolences to you and your family...
