An Army of One

This kid right here has caused me a numerous amount of headaches and grief. He has also caused me immeasurable amounts of joy and pride.

Saturday morning he solemnly swore to support and defend the constitution. A promise he has yearned to make since he was a small boy. I really couldn't be any more proud of him.

Did he talk to you first?
I mean before swearing to defend..

You know what those commercials say about talking about it.

ha ha ha ha ha!

I am proud of him too.
And happy for him,
I used to be in the Navy.
Loved it!

Congrats to your boy. It's a very interesting life, being military. My husband has been active duty Army for almost 23 years and we have mostly loved it.

Congrats! He made an excellent choice in my humble Army Mom opinion! My son went in at 18 and he's now 32 and a Kiowa Helicopter pilot! He just deployed to Afghanistan a couple of weeks ago and spent one year in Iraq. He loves the Army! Blessings to you all as you go through this transition! Hooah!! Lisa

Wow, hard to think about as a mom, your child going off to do something so big. I would be torn between proudness and grief over missing them and wondering how they are doing! But then again I'm one of the worry-mom's of the world! He will grow up so much, in a good way! And learn skills he'll have for a lifetime :) SMILE !
